Mechanical Engineer

Role: Mechanical Engineer Location: Indianola, PA, 15051 Duration: 12+ months ContractJob requirement: • B.S. with 5-7 years or M.S. with 3-5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent disciplines• Experience with AutoCAD & Solidworks CAD software• Collaborative and resourceful in achieving business goals• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedure• A track record of successful engineering projects• Ability to work and interact with a variety of people, departments, vendors and customers effectively• Self-starter, results-oriented and eager to learn• Excellent communication - both oral and writtenJob Responsibility:• Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships across multiple functions and disciplines• Plan, conceptualize and create mechanical designs for new seed treatment equipment systems/components or for improving existing components• Develop testing processes and perform testing and validation of new designs• Build working prototypes for testing to enable optimization prior to full-scale production• Partner with team members and cross-functional stakeholders on seed treating equipment projects• and work with vendors to select and test hardware components• Create and review technical drawings, plans and specifications using engineering software• Provide technical support and solve problems individually or in collaboration with others• Drive projects/initiatives and manage development activities & timelines• Continue to look for opportunities to innovate or optimize seed treatment equipment• May be involved in fabrication, installation, and/or repair of equipment• May need to travel to customer sites to assist field service technicians troubleshooting issues• Provide expertise to other functions/departments regarding design or functionality issues
