SummaryCenterPoint's Summer Intern Program provides hands-on exposure across the lifecycle of industrial real estate-including investment and development (capital deployment), asset management, strategy, finance, and valuation. Interns engage in analytical and research-driven work supporting underwriting, market analysis, due diligence, financial modeling, and strategic initiatives. The role offers a unique opportunity to learn from senior professionals, contribute to active deals and projects, and understand how a national industrial real estate platform operatesResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of a Vice President or Senior Vice President, the Intern will support a range of assignments across business functions, including:Support financial feasibility analyses for acquisitions, development opportunities, asset repositioning, and disposition scenariosAssist with valuation and financial modeling, including discounted cash flow analysis, IRR/NPV assessments, comparable research, and operating performance reviewConduct market and competitive research on industrial real estate fundamentals, tenants, supply/demand trends, and strategic submarket positioningHelp prepare investment committee materials, development updates, asset management reports, and other internal/external presentationsParticipate in aspects of the due diligence process, gaining exposure to underwriting, lease review, physical due diligence, and risk assessmentsLeverage internal systems and AI productivity tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) to support research, drafting, modeling, and workflow efficiencyContribute to strategic or cross-functional projects that enhance portfolio performance, improve processes, or support corporate initiativesComplete additional tasks and project work as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with a focus on accounting, finance, or real estate.Prior internship experience in real estate, finance, banking, consulting, or related analytical fields preferredMust demonstrate superior:Commitment to excellenceAnalytical ability and sound judgmentFinancial acumenStrong written and oral communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsAbility to build strong and collaborative relationshipsComfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot) to enhance efficiency and analytical outputProficient in standard corporate operating systems and software.Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.High level of professionalism, integrity, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approachSelf-starter that possesses innovative solutions and is proactive in resolving issues.Ability to build strong, professional working relationships across teamsHybrid work environment: 4 days in the office and 1 day remote; ability to be flexible with respect to work schedule.ADDITIONAL DETAILS:CenterPoint Properties is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer (F/M/Disability/Vet/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity).
