Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Electronic Technician to support the troubleshooting, testing, evaluation, and repair of electronic products at the component level. This is a hands-on bench role ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, using professional test equipment, and supporting both Production and Engineering teams.DutiesTroubleshoot and repair analog, digital, and RF electronic assembliesPerform component-level diagnosis and repair (resistors, capacitors, ICs, etc.)Interpret schematics, diagrams, drawings, and written specificationsOperate test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generatorsProvide technical support to Production and Engineering teamsSupport development and upkeep of procedures and work instructionsIdentify opportunities to improve designs and processesCalibrate and maintain test stations and lab equipmentRequirementsStrong understanding of electronics fundamentals and schematic interpretationLogical troubleshooting/debugging abilitySMT hand soldering experienceComfortable handling small components with strong hand-eye coordinationAbility to research components and datasheets onlineStrong written and verbal communication skillsOrganized, self-motivated, and able to work independentlyMechanical skills using common hand tools and power toolsEducation & ExperienceAssociate's degree in Electronic Technology (or equivalent experience)2+ years experience in electronics repair and/or mechanical assemblyIPC Soldering and IPC ESD certifications preferred (not required)Knowledge of proper ESD handling practicesWhat Success Looks Like in the First 90 DaysFully trained on internal repair processes, ESD practices, and documentation standardsIndependently troubleshooting common failures across multiple product typesConfident use of oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generatorsConsistently completing accurate repairs with minimal reworkCommunicating repair findings and failure trends to Production and EngineeringContributing at least one improvement idea to enhance quality or efficiencyPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 30 lbsWork AuthorizationMust have legal authorization to work in the United StatesAbout Summation Research, Inc.
