Partner with special education teachers on IEPs and work with staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods. Control student behavior in agreement with the student handbook and prepare a classroom environment that aids in physical, social, and emotional development. Establish rapport with parents, students, and principals through conferences and maintain professional relationships with community members. Enrich job skills through professional development, maintain all required reports and records, and participate in faculty meetings.Requirements Bachelor's degree California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Science: Chemistry English Learner Authorization (CLAD or equivalent)Job DetailsFull-TimePay: $64,000 - $85,000 / year BA or BS (as appropriate) degree in subject matter California Commission on Teacher Credentialing credential, certificate, permit, or other documentation equivalent to what a teacher in other public schools would be required to hold Highly qualified in core courses as defined in the section titled "NCLB and Credentialing Requirements" Understanding of subjects assigned Knowledge of curriculum and instruction The capability of instructing students and managing their behavior Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
