DescriptionJob Title: Campus Minister, OperationsMinistry/Department: MultisiteReports to: Campus PastorStatus: Full-time, exemptSupervisory Role: NoObjectiveThe goal of this position is to equip the saints for the work of ministry and the discipleship of The Church of Eleven22® church family. This position partners with the corresponding Campus Pastor to shepherd the flock.Key ResponsibilitiesModel spiritual intensity in, and assist in the execution of, weekend worship gatherings; responsibilities may include stage communication, prayer and anointing and preparation of worship spacesCarry out general ministerial responsibilities alongside the Campus Pastor and ministerial staff to shepherd and care for the local congregation; responsibilities will include:Assisting with the officiating and execution of weddings and celebrations of lifeDevoting time each week to hospital visitations, ministerial counseling and ministering to those in needAdministering the sacraments of baptisms and communionLead the disciple-making journey of the congregation by helping individuals identify their spiritual gifts and equipping the saints with the skills necessary to carry out ministry. This includes:Teach baptism classes, Growth Track and other applicable classesMeeting weekly with serve staff to pray, disciple and empower them for ministryLeading serve staff huddles at each service to educate, inform and inspire serve staffCollaborate with Central Ministries to deliver ministry at the local level through the equipping of congregants. Key Central partners to include Operations Director, Facilities Director, Safety & Security Director and Events & Hospitality DirectorBuild, lead and shepherd serve staff teams to accomplish the ministry objectives of Nehemiah and campus operations, including IT, facilities, events and weekend operationsLead in the stewardship of campus resources through day-to-day oversight of staff calendar, management of the campus budget, facilities and office administration. This includes assisting the Campus Pastor with calendaring and communication with key campus leadership (deacons, vision ambassadors, covenant members, etc.).Perform other duties as required by the Campus PastorCompetenciesModel The Church of Eleven22's mission, vision and core values Ability to maintain strict confidentiality Ability to adapt to changeStrong proactive communication skillsAbility to learn and utilize new computer softwareDemonstrated ability to build organizational relationships/partnerships (both internal and external)Proven track record of effective leadership, judgment and above-reproach characterDemonstrated ability to shepherd and equip staff, serve staff and congregantsExcellent written and oral communication skillsEducation and ExperienceThree to five years of ministry leadership experience, including experience managing teams, volunteers and/or ministry areasBachelor's degree requiredPosition Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time, non-exempt position.Work Hours Expectations: 40 hours or more.Schedule Expectations: Weekly rhythms include working in and around the campus office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; at the Central Office on Wednesdays; evenings as needed for events and discipleship groups and weekly worship services on Thursday evenings and Sundays.The church has several big events, ("All-Skates") throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.Our entire staff family is called to action, so that we can continue to be a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ.Work Environment/physical demandsThis role operates in a church and campus environment, including office settings, worship spaces and offsite locations such as hospitals and event venues. The position requires flexibility in schedule, including evenings and weekends and involves periods of standing, walking, lifting light to moderate items and participating in worship gatherings, classes and pastoral care activities. Occasional travel between campus and central offices is expected.Ministerial ExceptionThe ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).Staff members who qualify under the ministerial exception are not covered by federal and state employment and anti-discrimination laws.
