About the job Lead Audio Visual Engineer Industry: Audio VisualJob Title: Lead Audio Visual EngineerLocation: Las Vegas, NV, USASalary: $85-90,000.00Position Type: Full Time (Permanent hire)Industry: Audio VisualWere seeking a Reno-based Lead A/V Engineer who will own the full translation of Audio Visual concepts into working system designs. This role serves as the technical point person guiding Sales, Programming, CAD, Integration, and Installation teams from early concept through final commissioning.*Possible to work out of the Las Vegas or Albuquerque locations.Role OverviewThe Lead A/V Engineer partners closely with the A/V Design Engineer to turn quotes and concepts into fully engineered solutions. Systems may include VTC platforms; audio DSP (BSS, Biamp, QSC); projection and display technologies; video walls; digital signage; Crestron/AMX control systems; Polycom and Cisco conferencing; wireless mics; PTZ cameras; LED display brands (Absen, Barco, Planar, Pryzm, VueWall); Dante; Evertz; VBrick; Grass Valley; Christie Spiders; unified communications platforms; and other evolving technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign A/V systems from the ground up and collaborate with clients, Sales, Tech Ops, and Purchasing throughout the project lifecycle.Produce complete documentation for bids and proposals, including equipment lists, cost and labor estimates, pre-installation notes, and site-survey findings.Build detailed BOMs and create infrastructure drawings using Bluebeam, Visio, CAD, and related tools. Deliver engineering packages covering rack layouts, wiring diagrams, custom plates and assemblies, and procurement schedules.Stay current on emerging solutions that meet client expectations for cost, quality, and reliability.Support installation teams by demonstrating techniques, assisting with integration activities, and commissioning completed systems.Cultivate long-term client relationships by understanding existing standards while introducing new technologies where appropriate.Additional DutiesContribute to consultant-driven bids and formal submittals.Conduct initial site surveys, provide ongoing technical evaluations, and assist Tech Ops during integration, installation, and commissioning phases.Offer technical direction to programmers and provide hands-on support for Crestron, QSC, Biamp, and BSS-based control and DSP programming.Help prepare and manage change orders to protect or improve project profitability.Provide technical review, answer design questions, and perform red-line updates during integration and commissioning.Capture field markups and support delivery of complete as-built drawing packages.RequirementsCTS-D and/or CTS-I preferred5+ years experience in AV systems designA thorough, demonstrable understanding of systems integration techniquesProven experience developing a detailed BOM for fully functioning AV systems designsSkilled in the use of Bluebeam, AutoCad and Visio, and D-ToolsKnowledge of networking systems design and operationMS Office able to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access proficiently without trainingVery detail-oriented, have organizational and time management skills.OSHA 10 (Minimum) and valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
