Clayton Services is searching for a Level III / IV NETA-Certified Electrical Testing Technician to join a thriving company in the Houston area. The Level III / IV NETA-Certified Electrical Testing Technician will be responsible for leading and performing hands-on acceptance, maintenance, and commissioning testing of electrical systems while mentoring junior technicians and ensuring adherence to strict safety and industry standards. Job Type: Direct Hire Pay Rate: $60.00-$80.00/hour depending on experience Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and more. Level III / IV NETA-Certified Electrical Testing Technician Responsibilities: Lead and perform NETA-certified testing on transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays, cables, and related electrical equipment to ensure safety, compliance, and performance standards are met. Mentor and train Level I and II technicians in field testing practices, safety protocols, documentation, and career progression toward certification. Enforce safety measures such as arc flash protection, lockout/tagout procedures, and job hazard analyses in compliance with NFPA, NETA, and OSHA standards. Prepare accurate and detailed reports while using mobile-based CMS tools (or similar platforms) for real-time data tracking and deliverables. Collaborate with engineering, commissioning, and operations teams to deliver safe, efficient, and timely project outcomes. Level III / IV NETA-Certified Electrical Testing Technician Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and mentoring skills in field environments. Proficiency with commissioning tools and electrical test equipment. Excellent communication and technical documentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional project teams. Commitment to strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards. Level III / IV NETA-Certified Electrical Testing Technician Education and Experience: Current NETA Level III or Level IV certification (including prior Level I and II certifications and relevant safety/electrical training). Minimum of 5 years' hands-on electrical testing and commissioning experience. Experience with mobile CMS tools for field documentation is a plus.
