Position Type: Secretarial/ClericalDate Posted: 1/21/2026Location: Taft Center for InnovationClosing Date: 01/28/2026Finance Assistant, Accounts Payable and Receivable (Anticipated Opening): The Finance Assistant (Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable) is responsible for managing the financial transactions related to accounts within the school district. This includes processing invoices, reconciling statements, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers and processing the receipt of funds. The role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in financial software.Key Responsibilities:Receive and review invoices from vendors for accuracy and completeness.Enter invoice data into the accounting system and ensure proper coding and classification.Reconcile statements from vendors to ensure all invoices are accounted for and paid in a timely manner.Process payments via check, electronic transfer, or other approved methods, following established procedures.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.Respond to inquiries from vendors regarding payment status or discrepancies.Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.Process transactions related to accounts receivable.
