Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement efforts for galvanizing line operations in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring safe operations, maximizing equipment uptime, controlling maintenance costs, and developing a high-performing maintenance team.The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, proven leadership experience, and a hands-on approach to maintenance strategy and execution.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & ComplianceLead and promote a strong safety culture focused on OSHA compliance and housekeeping excellence.Ensure adherence to all company safety policies and regulatory requirements.Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation.Maintenance & ReliabilityManage all maintenance activities for galvanizing line equipment.Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.Drive equipment reliability through root cause failure analysis and corrective actions.Oversee spare parts inventory, equipment reliability metrics, and CMMS utilization.Lead maintenance training and skills development programs.Support and manage capital projects (CAPEX) in collaboration with Engineering.Quality & Operations SupportEnsure maintenance practices support compliance with ASTM and internal quality standards.Partner with Engineering and Production to resolve equipment and process issues.Support production uptime, throughput, and product quality objectives.Cost & Resource ManagementManage maintenance budgets, consumables, and departmental spending.Identify and implement cost-reduction and efficiency initiatives.Track and improve maintenance cost per ton, downtime, and waste metrics.Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop supervisors, technicians, and maintenance personnel.Conduct performance reviews and ongoing skills assessments.Build a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.Continuous ImprovementDrive reliability, Lean, and continuous improvement initiatives.Eliminate recurring equipment failures through structured problem-solving.Improve maintenance effectiveness and operational efficiency.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.Strong knowledge of maintenance strategies, reliability, and asset management.Experience using CMMS systems.Proficiency with Microsoft Office.Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.PreferredBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.Prior hands-on mechanical or electrical maintenance experience.Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software.Lean manufacturing, TPM, or reliability-centered maintenance experience.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Key Performance IndicatorsSafety incident rateEquipment uptime and downtime reductionQuality compliance (ASTM standards)Maintenance cost per ton and waste reductionTeam engagement, training, and retentionWhy Join UsLeadership role with direct impact on plant performanceStable, long-term opportunity in heavy industrial manufacturingAbility to shape maintenance strategy and team developmentCompetitive compensation and benefits package
