Job Description

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Project Manager in Temple, TX for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This full-time onsite role supports a combat mission systems program by managing vehicle and hardware deliveries on time and within budget. You will lead cross-functional execution across engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, contracts, and finance, while driving cost/schedule/technical performance, managing risks and opportunities, and presenting program status to customers and senior leadership. Required Skills Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience Experience with project planning, execution, monitoring, and controlling processes Ability to manage and report project schedules and budgets Ability to represent the team and deliver status reports to internal and external leadership Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong organizational and follow-through skills; detail oriented Ability to prioritize and multitask and adapt to a high-volume workload Ability to lead and integrate cross-functional teams to meet program objectives and deliverables Ability to identify and manage risks and opportunities and drive improvement plans using metrics Ability to work full-time onsite in Temple, TX Ability to travel up to 20% (as stated) Preferred Skills Master's degree and 7 years of experience Project management certification (PMP, PgMP, or similar) Earned Value Management experience What You'll Do Manage vehicle and hardware flow into the facility to support on-time delivery of contract deliverables Develop and maintain integrated program/project plans covering goals, staffing, scheduling, risks, contingencies, and resource allocation Lead cross-functional execution across multiple functions and production elements to meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives Proactively plan activities on the current contract and manage program risks/opportunities Present project status and proposals at program/technical reviews to customers and senior management Serve as primary point of contact with customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders, including coordination across time zones Make decisions to deliver cost-effective solutions while meeting financial commitments (orders, sales, profit, cash) with appropriate risk management Identify performance gaps, initiate improvement plans, and use metrics to verify performance to plan Capture, evaluate, and apply lessons learned to continuously improve project performance Work Schedule / Shift 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off) Job ID: 7363 "Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
