This role works in close collaboration with the Director of Housekeeping to execute departmental strategy, uphold service and cleanliness standards, and maintain strong operational alignment across the property. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can balance team leadership, quality control, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced hotel environment.What you'll doOversee daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and service areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards are consistently metPartner closely with the Director of Housekeeping to support departmental strategy, operational priorities, and overall property alignment with Brand standardsConduct routine room inspections and quality audits, addressing deficiencies and reinforcing attention to detailLead, coach, and support housekeeping supervisors and team members, providing day-to-day guidance and performance feedbackAssist with scheduling based on occupancy, staffing levels, and business needs to maintain efficiency and service standardsMaintain strong communication with Front Office to ensure room readiness, turnover efficiency, and support for VIP and special arrivalsMonitor and manage inventory levels for linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies, coordinating orders as neededCollaborate with Engineering to report, track, and follow up on maintenance and room-related issuesSupport payroll and administrative tasks by reviewing schedules, hours worked, and productivity for accuracyRespond promptly to guest requests, concerns, and service recovery situations related to housekeepingEnsure compliance with safety procedures, cleanliness protocols, and company policies and standardsMaintain organized storage areas, equipment, and housekeeping offices to support efficient daily operationsQualifications2-5+ years of housekeeping leadership experience in a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment preferredProven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams in a fast-paced operational settingStrong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness, presentation, and quality standardsAbility to collaborate effectively with the Director of Housekeeping, Hotel Manager, and cross-functional departmentsStrong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skillsExperience with scheduling, inspections, and daily operational reporting preferredProficiency with hotel systems (PMS) and basic administrative tools is a plusAbility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needsProfessional communication skills and a guest-focused mindsetFlexible schedule, including availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
