DescriptionJob Summary:Responsible for making a wide range of breads, pastries, and other baked goods, maintaining the high quality that the company is known for, while remaining in compliance with all Clark County Health Department and OSHA rules and company policies and procedures as they pertain to the position.Essential Job Functions:Prepare and bake all bakery items following standardized recipesDecorate and finish all cakes, pastries, and baked goods house specificationsRotate products as needed Report malfunctioning equipment to Executive Pastry Chef Operate, clean and perform minor maintenance on baking machines and equipmentKeep records of products made and usedAssist in developing test recipes All other duties that may be assignedWork Environment:Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidaysMust be able to work in close quarters or small rooms and occasionally be exposed to hot, cold, wet and/or humid conditionJob Requirements: Previous experience required; at least two yearsMust be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, environment and work under pressure and meet deadlinesMust have working knowledge of weights, measurements and basic bakery equipmentAbility to read, translate and execute recipesMust be able to work with speed and efficiencyMust be able to speak, understand, and read EnglishMust maintain valid Clark County Health CardHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredPhysical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods of timeMust be able to lift up to 50 lbsMust be able to walk, bend, reach, and twistMust possess the physical ability to access all areas of the bakery
