Controls Installer -- Apprentice

Job Responsibilities:Gathers tools and supplies to be used at the work siteMeasures, cut, and bending of conduit (EMT and Rigid)Pulls cable and wire from device locations to control panelsIn-wall rough-in of thermostatsDrills holes for pathwaysTraces out shorts in both low voltage power and signal cablingAssists in lifting, positioning, and fastening control panels, cable racks, and devicesMaintains tools and equipment that are assignedKeeps work areas clean of debrisPerforms other routine dutiesDisplay professional behavior and attitudeOther assigned duties by Journeyman or Project ManagerJob Requirements:Applicant must have reliable transportationPosition requires basic electrician hand toolsAbility to work with handsAbility to assign priorities to tasksAbility to lift 50lbs, unassisted, multiple times per daySome building automation knowledge or experience is usefulValid state motor vehicle operator license with clear driving record to meet company policy to drive a company vehicleMust be willing to drive within 150 miles of Memphis, TNTravel up to 40% of the timeSchedule and Compensation:Normal schedule is Monday through FridayNormal working hours is 7:00AM to 3:30PMOccasional Schedule of 4/10's, Overtime, or Weekend work based on project Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
