Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Interpret blueprints and collaborate with the Lead person to confirm job requirements.Gather necessary materials and perform layout work according to specifications.Set up welding machines and adjust settings for various applications.Weld steel, aluminum, copper, and other materials in multiple positions and joint configurations.Inspect welds for quality, repairing defective joints as needed.Operate cutting torches and manual plasma cutters when required.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area by performing regular housekeeping duties.YOU HAVE: High School Diploma or GEDAbilities to meet physical and environmental demandsStanding /Walking for extended periods of timeLift up to 50lbs.Work in a non-temperature-controlled environmentWear the required PPE for the given positionMust be trained in applicable SOPs and work instructionsSkilled in utilizing cutting torches, brushes, pads, buffers, grinders, overhead cranes, and rubber hammersAt least one year of welding experienceAble to read tape measures and blueprintsAbility to properly operate welding equipmentWE HAVE:A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every daynVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
