The Technical Writer will work hand-in-hand with Security Analysts, Cloud Architects, Engineers, and federal stakeholders to ensure that documentation always reflects the actual operational state of the system, not just policy intent. This is not a back-office documentation role, It is an RMF execution role embedded in a client-facing delivery team where documentation, engineering, and evidence generation will occur concurrently.Key Responsibilities:RMF & ATO Documentation ExecutionDevelop, maintain, and govern the System Security Plan (SSP) for a cloud based multi-tenant platform.Author and maintain control implementation narratives aligned to NIST SP 800-53, including control inheritance models and cloud-specific implementations.Create and manage objective evidence mappings, ensuring every control is backed by verifiable, assessor-ready artifacts.Support assessor engagement, walkthroughs, and documentation reviews.Sprint-Based Delivery SupportParticipate in two-week sprints, working closely with both engineers, security analysts and stakeholders to ensure documentation, evidence, and engineering outputs remain synchronized.Update SSPs, policies, procedures, and control narratives as engineering remediation and AWS configuration changes are implementedJob RequirementsA minimum of three years of experience as a technical writer.
