Position Details: Position Type: Contract Job Location: Remote Benefits: 401K, Dental insurance, Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Vision Insurance Compensation: $ 38-40/hour Instructional Designer – Global Learning & Development We are seeking a dynamic and creative Instructional Designer to join our Global Learning & Development team. This role is responsible for designing and developing engaging, performance-based training solutions that support sales and technical audiences across a global organization. Position Overview The Instructional Designer will create highly interactive, task-based learning experiences using a variety of delivery methods, including eLearning, virtual instructor-led training (VILT), classroom training, job aids, and multimedia content. This role requires strong collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to translate complex information into effective, learner-centered solutions aligned with business goals. Key Responsibilities Design & Development (30%) Design and develop online learning programs and digital assets aligned with global training strategies, regional needs, and product launch initiatives. Create engaging eLearning modules, videos, and blended learning solutions. Instructor-Led Training (30%) Develop classroom and virtual training workshops, including facilitator guides, participant materials, presentations, checklists, and evaluation tools. Collaboration & Content Development (10%) Partner with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders to transform technical and institutional knowledge into performance-focused training. Digital Asset Creation (10%) Develop supporting training materials such as presentation decks, graphics, and other visual assets. Content Maintenance (10%) Update existing training materials to reflect product enhancements, system updates, and process improvements. Quality Assurance & Deployment (5%) Test and validate training content prior to deployment in learning management systems and other delivery platforms. Stakeholder Engagement (5%) Present learning solutions, gather feedback, and incorporate revisions from stakeholders and SMEs. Perform additional duties as assigned. Key Stakeholders Internal: Sales and technical training participants Project stakeholders Subject matter experts Training facilitators and coordinators Marketing and brand teams Global Learning & Development leadership External: End users of products and technologies Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Educational Technology, or a related field Master’s degree preferred Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in instructional design Required Skills & Experience Proven ability to design and develop complex, instructionally sound training programs across multiple delivery formats (e.g., eLearning, virtual classroom, microlearning, video-based learning) Strong understanding and application of adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies Experience conducting needs analyses and developing learning objectives aligned to business goals Proficiency with eLearning development tools such as Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise), Camtasia, Vyond, and Adobe Captivate Strong visual design skills, including experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) Ability to write effective instructional content, including scripts, storyboards, and multimedia narration Familiarity with video/audio editing tools and voiceover technologies, including AI-based tools Strong project management skills with the ability to manage projects from concept through evaluation Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills High attention to detail and ability to incorporate feedback effectively A portfolio of prior work is required for consideration.
