About the JobJob Summary:Sets up and assembles all of the equipment in the Processing area, the Raw Milk Alcove area and the PT Tank Alcove area. Uses automated and computerized equipment to standardize, homogenize, fortify and pasteurize all products at the highest level of efficiency possible. Checks the chemical concentrations on all C.I.P. circuits. Performs standard product tests by using extremely sensitive laboratory equipment. Maintains all regulatory and plant records on a daily basis.Essential Job Functions: Sets up, assembles and dismantles all of the equipment in the Processing area, the Raw Milk Alcove area and the PT Tank Alcove area. Sanitizes all processing equipment, lines and tanks. Keeps vitamin containers filled and operational.Attaches and properly records the correct information on all Processing and C.I.P. charts for regulatory purpose.Processes all products according to the Production Schedule as instructed by the Production Planner. Insure proper rotation of raw milk.Keeps accurate and comprehensive records concerning ingredients used in batching and processing of products.C.I.P.'s all HTST units, tanks and lines.Changes all pump seals, replaces valve actuators, valve plungers and valve O-rings.Performs standardized product tests on the following equipment: Milk-O-Tester, Solids Oven Tester and the Cryoscope Tester.Checks the chemical concentrations and temperature on all HTST's,tanks and lines during C.I.P. and records the results.Keeps the fillers supplied with ready to bottle products, by self-monitoring the fillers in order to determine at what particular time to process the needed product.Maintains the entire area of responsibility in the cleanest, most sanitary manner possible. Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.Fulfills all assignments as given by the Master Sanitation Program.Degree of Responsibility Exercised in position:The efficient execution of this job directly impacts all plant operations in the Production and Loadout areas. Failure to accomplish the job tasks assigned to the Processing Area, will ultimately force all production and Loadout operations to be halted. Limiting material losses is a vital aspect of the processing job and can have a direct impact on the profit and loss of the entire organization. Failure to maintain proper sanitation standards in this area or to maintain proper regulatory records would be very detrimental to the plant's Quality Assurance Program and Regulatory Compliance Programs. Therefore, excellent sanitation practices are a must on this job.Education, Prior Work Experience, Specialized Skills, Knowledge:High school diploma or GED.Very strong rational thinking/problem solving, planning skills are required.Heavy lifting is required.Ability to quickly develop an action plan, on a daily basis, that will enable the Processor to accomplish the necessary work in an assigned shift. Must be able to perform basic math concepts in order to successfully perform this job. Must be able to read, comprehend and follow product formulation directions.The above job description is not necessarily all-inclusive of expected responsibilities. The incumbent's supervisor as required may assign other related duties.Essential Physical Elements:Stand/walk up to 12 hours.Repeated stooping and bending 75% of the shift.High hand/eye coordination.Repeatedly lift up to 55 lbs.Ability to climb steps.Ability to climb a ladder.Ability to bend at the knees into a low crouching position.Ability to distinguish colors.Ability to use hand tools.Subject to temperature variations from 35 to 100 degrees.The above ranges and figures are considered an average approximation. During peak times and under special circumstances, slight increases in these figures should be expected.Safety:Understand and follow recommended safe procedures to avoid those hazards specifically listed on the JSA for this job.Follow the Departmental Safe Practices posted in this job's area; this includes wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment.Follow all plant safety rules and procedures.Actively participate in the BAPP program.Quality:Follow all departmental Good Manufacturing Practices: no candy or gum allowed in the production area; hairnets, safety steel toed shoes, and bread nets (if applicable) must be worn in all production areas; no false eyelashes, false finger nails, finger nail polish or heavy makeup; no jewelry of any kind; no eating in production areas; CFD (clean) uniform must be worn.Will follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements. Will be accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles. Will support the development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems.Back up to the Processor in the SQF process is the Production Supervisor.Reliability:Must monitor and report performance of equipment to supervisor.Must participate in and contribute to problem solving teams.Must accurately report data Assist or perform PM's to the level to which training has been completed.Machine Operators to run lines at target rates at all times.About the CompanyCentennial Farms, a Kroger Company, is in the beautiful and bustling city of Atlanta.
