ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSComplete maintenance related tasks as assigned by the Maintenance supervisor on shiftRespond to emergency "break down" calls, make needed repairs as quickly as possible while maintaining a safe work environmentComplete Preventive Maintenance (PM's) on production and facility equipmentTrouble shoot all issues, make needed repairs and establish root causePresent findings from root cause and discuss future corrective actions needed, with Maintenance SupervisorProficient mechanical skills and knowledge of industrial equipment and tools, such as but not limited to: Belts, sprockets, chains, bearings, pullies, etc., to successfully complete all tasks independentlyBe able to get certified and safely operate all PIV's, such as but not limited to: Forklifts, Cranes, Aeriel Lifts, etc.General labor and other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTSEducation:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree in a technical/industrial discipline or accredited institution, preferredYears of Experience:2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent required, 3+ preferredKnowledge in principles of mechanical / maintenance, equipment and tools, preferredOther Requirements:Punctual and consistent attendance requiredAble to work beyond required scheduled hours as neededWorks in a safe manner and in compliance with EHS policies and proceduresBe able to work independently or in a team settingAbility to complete ongoing training and developmentKEY COMPETENCIESHands-on approach to problem solving and analysisExcellent Analytical, assessment and decision-making skills to solve independently or know when to escalateThe ability to communicate effectively across different channels: Verbally, written, and electronic) and functionsAbility and willingness to uphold the Carlex Mission Vision & Values Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
