Title Analyst (remote)

Title Analyst (remote) Walker Elliott is working with oil and gas investment firm (non-operated assets in the Permian), looking to hire remote, full time, Title Analyst (lease background would be nice to have). This is a unique opportunity to join a lean, highly collaborative team where your title and ownership analysis will directly influence investment decisions and deal execution. The role offers meaningful exposure to the full acquisition lifecycle, close interaction with firm leadership, and the ability to operate with autonomy in a fast-moving, decision-driven environment. Responsibilities • Conduct mineral title review, chain-of-title research, and ownership analysis to support acquisitions and asset management • Review deeds, leases, assignments, probate records, title opinions, and related documents • Perform cursory title work to assist with early-stage opportunity screening and lead generation • Evaluate and clearly communicate title risk across federal, state, and fee lands in New Mexico • Support deal execution through detailed ownership validation and documentation review • Work independently in a remote setting while collaborating closely with Land leadership and firm partners Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in a title-focused land role (Title Analyst, Title Agent, Lease & Title Analyst, or similar) • Direct experience with New Mexico title, including federal, state, and fee lands (MUST) • Strong understanding of mineral ownership, chain-of-title research, and title curative concepts • Ability to identify, assess, and clearly explain title risk • Highly detail-oriented with strong written communication skills • Comfortable working independently in a remote, entrepreneurial environment • Experience supporting acquisitions or investment-focused mineral buyers is a plus Do not apply unless you are authorized to work in the United States for any employer as client company cannot sponsor or transfer visas at this time.
