Job Description

Berean Christian School is seeking a full-time K3 Preschool Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.Candidates must have a passion for serving God in the context of education. A relationship with Jesus Christ and viewing your teaching position as a ministry is essential. Berean Christian School is the largest ministry of Grace Fellowship, and, as such, candidates must be regular attending members in good standing at a church of "like-faith". BCS adheres to The Baptist Faith and Message (2000), and additional information can be found here: About - Grace Fellowship ()General Purpose: To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a Christ-centered environment of love, respect, trust, and safety where children will strive to achieve their maximum potential under God.Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities-Adhere to all policies, expectations and professional standards of the Grace Fellowship and Berean ChristianSchool handbooks.- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans- Post detailed lesson plans on RenWeb prior to each week- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities- Prepare a safe classroom environment for class activities and instruction- Provide and expose students to a variety of learning materials and equipment- Observe and assess student's performance and development- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development- Prepare required student reports- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures- Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary procedures of the school- Apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary- Communicate with parent/guardian regularly regarding their child's progress and needs- Communicate necessary information regularly to administration and colleagues regarding student progress andneeds- Conduct parent/teacher conferences on a regular basis- Maintain the teacher RenWeb page weekly- Participate in department and school meetings- Produce a weekly newsletter to parents regarding the activities and learning objectives for the week- All other duties as assigned by the BCS AdministrationEducation and ExperienceA minimum of a DCF staff credential.Pursuing the next level of education.At least one year of relevant teaching experience in the field of early education.Meet professional teacher education requirements of BCS, ACSI, and Florida.Participate in all Staff Development opportunities of BCS
