About the job Inside Sales Assistant - Japanese Bilingual Location: El Monte, CaliforniaHours: M-F: 8AM - 5PM; 1 hour lunchSalary Range: $22.00 To $29.00 HourlyBenefits: All paid Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance for employees and their dependents, Life Insurance and 401k Plan with company match.[Essential Job Functions] Inputs, updates, and maintains sales orders, invoices, and bill-back data within the Company databaseUpdates and maintains customer records in the Company databaseEnters credit card and ACH transaction information in the portal site in a timely manner to ensure payment collectionMaintains high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and building rapportAnswers customer questions about product features, product benefits, and proceduresUpdates and prepares all sales materials for the departmentReports any inventory or service issues to appropriate account manager immediatelyCollaborates with the sales staff to monitor active purchase orders and ensure that orders are completed on timeScribes department meetings and distributes meeting minutes to the teamCreates sales and marketing materialsAttends Company events and functions outside of normal working hoursPerforms other duties as assignedObligation to answer to all management as requestedAssists as Will Call reliefCollect payment by cash, check, or credit card and generate receipts for will call customersAssists as tertiary receptionist relief[Physical Requirements] Ability to sit in an office for a majority of the dayAbility to type for extended periods throughout the dayAbility to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 20 pounds occasionallyWorking Conditionso Noise Level: Normal to loudo Indoors[Other Requirements]Business level English - Read/write/speak/listenBusiness level Japanese; Native level Japanese preferred - Read/write/speak/listenMaintains a positive attitude and willingness to learnAbility to work independently and as a teamAbility to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workloadPasses the Sake Adviser course within 1-2 years of employmentHigh School Diploma required. Bachelors Degree and above preferred2+ years of relevant experience preferred[Knowledge and Skills]Clerical/Administrative SupportBasic mathematical knowledge - markups, discounts, combining/converting measurements, counting inventory, etc.Problem-solving skillsBasic Microsoft Office proficiencyCommunication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of Japanese foods and sakes strongly preferred
