As a result, our company is growing fast and always welcoming new talents.CNC MACHINIST IPosition Summary The CNC Machinist I is responsible for operating CNC machines and performing routine machining tasks in support of production and quality requirements. This role focuses on consistent machine operation, basic tooling changes, and in-process inspection while following established programs and work instructions.The CNC Machinist I works independently on assigned machines but escalates issues beyond routine operation to higher-level machinists or supervision.Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.• Operate CNC machines in accordance with established programs, work instructions, and safety procedures• Load and unload parts and monitor machine cycles• Change basic tooling as required• Use gauges and precision measuring devices to perform in-process inspections• Verify parts meet quality and dimensional requirements• Recognize improper machine functioning and report findings to CNC Machinist II, CNC Machinist III, CNC Machinist Lead, or Supervisor• Use pass down sheets and participate in face-to-face problem-solving meetings to communicate machine status, including:o Dates and times tooling was last changedo Maintenance or equipment issueso Machine performance or repeatability concernso Status of ongoing setups or jobs in progress• Demonstrate working knowledge of shop floor systems used for production tracking, quality, and communication• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area• Comply with all company safety, quality, and production policies• Assist supervisors, mechanical engineers, and planners with work organization to:o Support continuous improvement initiativeso Reduce setup time, cycle time, and machine downtime• Perform other related duties as assigned to support operational needsWays of Working, Experience, and BehaviorsWays of Working To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:• Works independently on assigned machines while strictly following established procedures• Prioritizes safety, quality, and accuracy over speed• Maintains awareness of machine condition and production status• Communicates clearly and consistently through pass downs and direct discussion• Accepts coaching and applies feedback to improve performance• Escalates issues promptly rather than attempting unauthorized fixesExperience • Minimum 1 year of CNC machining experience• Hands-on experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment• Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges• Experience reading and interpreting basic blueprints• Familiarity with basic shop floor systems and production documentationExpected Behaviors• Follows all safety rules, job safety analyses, and PPE requirements without exception• Produces parts that meet quality, customer, and regulatory requirements• Stops work and escalates concerns when safety or quality risks are identified• Takes ownership of assigned machines and tasks• Arrives on time, prepared, and ready to work• Completes documentation accurately and consistently• Communicates machine status clearly during pass downs and meetings• Works respectfully and cooperatively with teammates and leads• Responds professionally to feedback and directionDecision-Making Authority• Follows documented processes, programs, and work instructions• Authorized to perform routine machine operation and basic tooling changes• Escalates setup, programming, tooling, or quality issues beyond routine operation to CNC Machinist II, CNC Machinist III, CNC Machinist Lead, or supervision Minimum Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
