With approximately 300 lawyers across a network of 14 offices, we provide clients with proactive, solution-oriented business and litigation counsel. We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant for our Pittsburgh office.Primary Responsibilities:Preparation of legal documents such as letters and correspondenceTimely management and processing of original estate planning documents in accordance with Firm procedures and maintaining database recordsCompiling exhibits for Orphans' Court filings, family settlement agreements and other mattersGeneral utilization and submission of clerical and administrative forms such as check requests and expense reportsCoordination of conference calls, video conferences and other interpersonal communication as requestedPreparation of mailingsCoordination of large-scale document jobs with Office ServicesAs requested per attorney daily monitoring of deadlines, calendars, voicemails, answering of phoneProvide corporate transactional support with respect to entity formation and other fundamental transactions such as mergers and, dissolutionsMaintain physical and electronic client filesCopying and scanning of documentsProvide general assistance firmwide as a member of the legal support team as neededOpen and closing of client mattersPerforms other related duties as assignedSkills/AbilitiesStrong verbal and written skills including the ability to interact with clientsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailKnowledge of various types of Estate Planning documentsKnowledge of Orphan Court Matters and processesKnowledge of the Estate Administration Process Ability to prioritize tasks and multitaskAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to function well in a high paced environmentKnowledge of legal terminology and U.S legal system preferredAptitude for learning new applications, systems and processesProficient with Microsoft Office365 and AdobeProficient with document management systems, iManage preferredProficient with redlining, track changes, table of authorities and table of contents preferred Education and Experience:High school degree or equivalent required; college degree preferred Minimum two years of experience as an assistant, preferably in a law firm environment.Previous experience in estate planning, probate, or trust administration is highly preferred. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
