Service Wire Company, a premier supplier of industrial and utility wire and cable, is currently seeking a 2nd shift Wire Cutter in Phoenix, AZ. If you are looking to join a great organization and a chance to become a part of our growing team, this may be the opportunity for you!Position Summary:Our Wire Cutters process material cuts according to customer specifications, record distribution data in order to expedite and prepare orders for shipment. They also work to maintain inventory stock and an organized warehouse, and transport wire and materials throughout the facility using a forklift.Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:Cut wire to specified length based on customer requirementsPalletize and prepare orders for shipmentRecord all material information to include: item code, damage, reel number, miscuts, location, and cut information, etc.Process orders based on urgency and expedite accordinglyAssist with inventory control and maintaining stock levelsMaintain safety standards and clean/organized work environmentAdditional duties as assigned by supervisorKnowledge/Skills/Requirements:High School Diploma/GED (General Equivalency Diploma) or one year related industrial experience or equivalent trainingDemonstrate strong basic math and measuring skillsAbility to read, comprehend, and respond to general instructions, direction, and correspondence, both oral and writtenCooperatively works and interacts with members various departments * Personal protective equipment is requiredContinuous participation in company safety trainingCompany forklift operation training and certificationPhysical Demands/Work EnvironmentTemperatures may be impacted by extreme outdoor weather in plant and warehouseRegularly stands, bends, and reaches for extended periodsRegularly moves about the facilityRegularly lifts and moves materials up to 50 poundsRegularly uses hand and finger dexterity to adjust and manipulate controls, tools, and objectsOccasionally required to move up to 100 pounds by pushing, pulling, or sliding material. Assistance provided as neededVisual inspection of material quality requiredMust be able to work in hot and cold environments without climate-control.In-person attendance is an essential function of the jobShift Schedule and InformationMust be available to work 3pm - 11:30pm.
