We are seeking a **Field Service Technician II** to provide onsite technical support for a national home improvement retail client. This role requires a highly motivated technician who can troubleshoot IT and data-related issues while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while maintaining a professional presence at client locations. **Location:** New Jersey City NJ **Travel:** Daily travel within a **50-125 mile radius** (Company fleet vehicle provided) **Responsibilities** **:** + Provide onsite technical support for **retail IT infrastructure and equipment** + Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to **POS systems, PCs, printers, thin clients, access points, servers, and network switches** + Track and monitor incidents while documenting solutions in the ticketing system + Install, configure, and replace IT equipment as required + Provide **triage, troubleshooting, and resolution** within the defined client scope + Support **copper and fiber cabling installations** and basic termination + Clearly communicate technical issues to non-technical users + Maintain strong client relationships and deliver excellent customer service + Work with remote support teams to resolve escalated issues + Occasionally work at heights up to **20-25 feet** (training provided) + Ensure all cases and tickets are **documented and closed daily** **Skills & Qualifications:** + **1+ year of IT technical support experience** + Experience supporting **Windows operating systems** (macOS or Linux/Unix knowledge is a plus) + Familiarity with **POS systems, PCs, printers, thin clients, and network equipment** + Basic understanding of **network troubleshooting and cabling** + Strong **problem-solving and troubleshooting skills** + Excellent **communication and customer service skills** + **Valid driver's license required** + Ability to **lift up to 25 lbs** **Wage Range** **:** The hourly rate for this position is between **$17.00 - $24.00** per hour, unless the local minimum wage is higher.
