Lunchroom Attendant

Position Type: Food ServiceDate Posted: 10/6/2025Location: Multiple Locations(High-Needs School)District: South Holland School District 151Summary: The lunchroom attendant prepares and serves cafeteria food, and maintains the lunchroom and eating area in sanitary condition. The lunchroom attendant in this position will travel to a different district school each day based on the needs of the district. Qualifications: Successful completion of a food sanitation course. Possession of a valid TB test and health examination issued by the local county board of health or recognized medical authority.Essential Functions: Prepares all menu items using established departmental policies and procedures. Assures all menu items are prepared according to established policies and procedures. Assures all food and other departmental supplies are ordered and received in a timely manner so adequate inventory levels are maintained to support volume or anticipated volume. Performs other related duties as required. Provides services to students and staff in a friendly and efficient manner. Cleans lunchroom area before and after business hours.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occassionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
