Together we continue to grow as the world's leading energy company!The Specialist, Retail Supply - Renewables will play a pivotal role in the execution and optimization of renewable power purchase agreements (PPA)). This position requires a sharp analytical mind, strong commercial competence, and exceptional cross-functional coordination skills to drive value for BP's renewables portfolio.Job ResponsibilitiesLead and participate in the full lifecycle of renewable power PPAs from initial engagement through execution.Develop and implement deal models and valuations to assess the commercial viability and strategic fit of potential renewable energy supply opportunities.Identify and implement improvements in Renewable PPA operations, deal workflow, and internal controls. Use data analysis and interested party feedback to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, fostering collaboration and achieving internal alignment on strategic objectives.Proactively identify and assess market sentiment and trading fundamentals to optimize deal structures.Effectively present complex commercial proposals and analytical findings to diverse interested parties, influencing decision-making.Ensure all agreements and commercial activities adhere to relevant trade fields and compliance regulations.Act as a leader with vision within the renewables supply chain, contributing to the development of standard processes and innovative solutions.Listen attentively to interested party needs and concerns, adapting communication and negotiation approaches accordingly.Clearly and concisely articulate commercial terms, analysis, and recommendations in written format.Essential Education, Experience and RequirementsBachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Math, Business, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or similar)Strong proven experience in a commercial or analytical retail energy roleProven experience in managing PPAs, including ISO market knowledge (ERCOT, PJM, CAISO, ISONE)Advanced skills in Excel VBA and SQL; Python preferredExperience with ETRM systemsStrong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skillsDemonstrated ability to manage complex data and present to senior interested partiesExperience mentoring or leading junior team members We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
