Technique, Inc. is looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team at our Concord, North Carolina facility. This position is responsible for inspecting components and finished products to determine compliance with engineering requirements. The employee will also create and maintain all documentation, as well as assist with dispositioning nonconforming product. The employee will develop procedures and coordinate efforts for quality system compliance, lead quality and continuous improvement projects in coordination with account managers and the purchasing department, and work with setup technicians, customers, and vendors on quality-related issues.The ideal candidate holds an Associate's degree in engineering technology or a related field and brings experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. A good understanding of GD&T and blueprints, experience using PCDMIS, and strong root cause analysis and problem solving skills are critical factors in this role.Responsibilities:Inspect parts using precision measuring tools - Use precision measuring tools to check parts against blueprints.Program and operate CMM machines - Use and write programs in PCDMIS to operate portable CMM machines.Calibrate precision machinery - Calibrate precision machinery to ensure measurement accuracy.Work with technicians on part development - Work with technicians to provide legible feedback per blueprint specifications and assist technicians with part development.Create and complete customer documentation - Create and complete customer documentation for quality records.Reverse engineer for process improvement - Reverse engineer to help with process improvement activities and corrective actions.Represent Technique with customers - Professionally represent Technique when interacting with customer representatives.Requirements:Associate's degree in engineering technology or related field preferred0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environmentGood understanding of GD&T and blueprints preferredExperience using PCDMIS preferredAbility to use precision measurement toolsRoot cause analysis and problem solving skillsStrong communication, time management, and computer skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentAbility to frequently lift and/or move items over 50 poundsThis position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the shiftSpecific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusNo travel required for this positionMust be eligible to work in the United StatesPosition Type and Expected Hours:This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a minimum of 40 hours per week with overtime as needed.
