Schedule: 4 days on-site | 1 day remote - Houston, TX About the Role This role leads end-to-end project procurement within a high-growth Workplace Services & Facilities team managing an active capital expenditure portfolio. The ideal candidate will serve as an individual contributor managing multiple concurrent capital projects ranging from $1M to $40M+, spanning new facility builds, remodels, and expansions. The team's portfolio has grown significantly and continues to expand, driven by ongoing regional infrastructure initiatives, making this a high-impact, high-visibility opportunity. Summary This role leads end-to-end project procurement by coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, executing competitive and negotiated sourcing strategies, managing supplier agreements, and ensuring alignment with project schedules and company policies. Key Responsibilities Coordinate project procurement activities across all applicable stakeholders including Legal, Project Management, Environmental Safety, and Business Unit teams Develop and execute RFP/RFQ strategies for project-specific scopes of work and evaluate responses to provide sourcing recommendations Develop and execute directly-negotiated scopes of work (SOWs) that provide commercial value and meet business unit needs Manage negotiation of Master Agreements with suppliers in collaboration with internal legal, environmental, and insurance stakeholders Manage weekly meetings with project stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with project schedules Develop content to gain approvals for sourcing decisions, including presentations to business unit and/or procurement leadership Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and applicable regulations Develop and qualify new vendors for an active portfolio of upcoming capital projects Manage 5-10 concurrent projects spanning sourcing events, direct negotiations, and master agreements Experience & Background The ideal candidate brings 5-7 years of procurement experience in capital-intensive industries, with a strong preference for backgrounds in: Oil & Gas - from major operators, EPCs, or oilfield services environments Facilities & Construction - from integrated facility service providers or construction firms Relevant procurement experience should span one or more of the following: Facilities management and workplace services procurement Construction and general contractor sourcing Architectural services procurement Engineering procurement Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) sourcing Capital expenditure (CapEx) project management What Sets a Candidate Apart Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings Experience managing complex, multi-scope sourcing events beyond simple one-page RFQs Comfort working alongside engineers and technical stakeholders on materials and construction specifications Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale contracts independently ($10M-$40M range) Skills Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple simultaneous procurement activities High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle) and Microsoft Office applications Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management Education Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field required
