Clayton Services is searching for a Document Control Specialist to join a thriving company in the North Houston area. The Document Control Specialist will be responsible for managing, organizing, and tracking documentation related to customer orders, production, and post-shipment requirements. Job Type: Temp-to-Hire Pay Rate: $20.00/hour Benefits: Excellent benefits available after the completion of the temporary period, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and more. Document Control Specialist Responsibilities: Maintain and organize project documentation, job folders, and internal records to ensure accuracy and accessibility Coordinate order documentation from intake through shipment, ensuring all required records are properly logged and stored Review customer orders and confirm alignment with approved pricing and specifications Create and manage job entries within internal systems and shared drives Partner with internal teams to assemble, submit, and track documentation packages required for customer approval Ensure all documentation complies with customer formatting, approval, and submission requirements Track and archive vendor documentation, drawings, and release materials Confirm completion and accuracy of parts lists and technical documentation following production Prepare Installation, Operation, and Maintenance (IOM) documentation for final delivery with equipment Distribute shipment notifications and digital documentation to internal and external stakeholders Monitor and update internal equipment logs, records, and shared directories Assist in improving and standardizing documentation templates and tagging systems Respond to customer documentation requests in a timely and professional manner Manage reporting schedules for designated customer accounts and provide updates as required Support purchasing activities, including issuing purchase orders and reviewing material requirements Other duties as assigned Document Control Specialist Skills and Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across departments and with customers Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when handling technical and order-related documentation Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, files, and deadlines simultaneously Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments Demonstrates sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive information Ability to identify inconsistencies, troubleshoot documentation issues, and recommend solutions Capable of working independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams Proficient in Microsoft Office and common document management tools Adaptable and receptive to process improvements and system changes Document Control Specialist Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous document control, administrative, or operations support experience is required Document Control Specialist - Immediate need.
