Assurance Manager

As an Assurance Manager, you'll be responsible for supervising, directing and reviewing the results through the delegation of tasks throughout the planning, field work and "wrap-up" stages of an Audit client engagement. You will also be expected to; communicate accounting and audit issues to clients, review and analyze U.S. GAAP financial statements and financial projections, prepare and review audit work papers while understanding and utilizing KRS' Assurance/Audit methodology. The ideal candidate will be able to meet these expectations, and be considered for a potential Assurance/Audit Partner role. Key Responsibilities (but not limited to): Leading and supervising the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of an audit, review or compilation engagementOverseeing the day-to-day operations of the audit engagement from staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting and the conclusionPlans the audit process and oversees the execution of procedures with quality, efficiency, and completeness despite pressures of deadlines.Manage multiple engagements concurrently while efficiently meeting client deadlinesGAAP - Applies knowledge and understanding of governing principles; applying these principles to client transactions; and documenting and communicating an understanding and application of these principles.GAAS - Applies knowledge and understanding of professional standards; application of the principles contained in professional standards; and the ability to document and communicate an understanding and application of professional standards on an engagementCreating and track engagement budgets to review for inefficiencies that may arise during the auditDefines methodology to conduct research projects and completes in a timely mannerWork with engagement team to make recommendations for any legal, regulatory and accounting issues that arise during an audit engagementTrain team on assurance proceduresReview workpapers and provide written/verbal feedbackConduct constructive discussions with team members on their evaluationsPreferred Qualifications / Requirements:Active CPA License (required)7-10+ years with public accounting auditBachelor's degree in Business Accounting (Masters a plus)Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)Experience with assurance applications and research tools (Engagement Manager) preferredExperience managing staffDesired Characteristics:Exceptional analytical, technical, and auditing skills including knowledge in US GAAP and GAAS rules and standardsStrong leadership and mentoring skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detail and problem solving skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi-taskEfficient time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlinesAble to work independently or collaborativelyOur benefits include: Competitive SalaryUnlimited Paid Time Off policy (PTO), summer hours, and holidays401(k) with Company MatchMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife & ADD InsuranceLong-Term Disability InsurancePerformance BonusDress for Your Day AttireExceptional company culture, frequent team eventsEqual Opportunity Employer
