By understanding our customers' needs and exceeding expectations, we help drive their success while contributing to the strength of American manufacturing.Job Summary: This position is responsible, using CAD software, for designing three-dimensional models of hydraulic manifolds, for use in many fields including off-highway mobile, industrial, agriculture, product development and host of others. CAD Designers are a crucial part of any design team. They bring all the ideas of the customer to life in a digital world. From there, physical prototypes can be manufactured. Ultimately leading to full-scale production. Duties/Responsibilities: Attend regular development meetings. Support in quoting new products for customers. Follow a detailed design process to create 3D models as well as drawings for customers. Input design data into software to maintain revision-controlled documents and databases. Incorporate customer feedback into 3D model designs and Revise models as requested. Provide basic technical support for customers looking for products. Keep up to date on design and software technologies. Pursue ongoing education in the field to increase product application proficiency.Required Skills/Abilities: CAD proficiency Technical aptitude Strong communication skills both written and oral Strong organizational skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to collaborate with others to solve problemsEducation and Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent experience 2+ years' experience utilizing CAD software preferred Minimum 2 years working in a professional environment Basic knowledge of engineering drawingsPhysical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, feel/reach with hands/arms, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and walk. The employee is occasionally required to bend and stop, push and pull, reach above shoulder level, kneel, squat, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
