SummaryThis position is located at US Mint,Protection Department - Philadelphia Police. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. We must be able to verify this experience in your resume in order for you to receive credit.Specialized Experience:For the TR-10, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the TR-09/GS-09grade level in the Federal service.Specialized experience for this position includes:Supervising in a law enforcement environment that has provided knowledge in the areas of basic laws and regulations, law enforcement operations, practices and techniques and involved responsibility for maintaining order and protecting life and property.In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:For the TR-10 you must have been at the TR-09/GS-09 level for 52 weeks.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:All employees must wear face masks while on MINT property when required by CDC and Federal guidelines.This position is designated as emergency essential.The incumbent must be ready and able to deploy as required in support of varied contingencies and under severe and austere conditions. The incumbent may deploy for brief periods during a contingency event.All newly appointed employees to the competitive (or excepted) service are subject to a probationary (or trial) period. During this time, your performance, conduct, and suitability for continued employment will be evaluated. You will not automatically convert to permanent status at the end of the probationary (or trial) period. Your supervisor must affirmatively determine that continued employment is in the best interest of the Federal service. If no certification is made before the probationary (or trial) period ends, your appointment will be terminated. You are encouraged to actively engage with your supervisor, seek feedback, and understand role expectations. You will be ineligible to occupy this position if at any time you have been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence, unless you received a pardon or your conviction was expunged or set aside [Lautenberg Amendment - 18 U.S.C. § 922(g) (9)].Possess a valid state motor vehicle operator's license upon appointment OR within 90 days of appointment (as appropriate) and maintain a valid license while you occupy the position.Tattoos/Branding/Intentional Scarring- Full sleeve tattoos are permissible as long as they are not deemed offensive, racist or sexist. Visible tattoos, branding or intentional scarring, or body art on the head, face, neck or scalp are prohibited.
