Manual Machinist - Direct Hire Role

Indianapolis, IN Order: 2147065 Order Type : DirectHire Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Machinist to perform high-quality machining work with minimal supervision, meeting technical specifications and production standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.Set up, operate, and maintain manual machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders.Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and comparators.Coordinate and perform complex machining operations with accuracy and efficiency.Ensure precise alignment and setup of workpieces, vises, and machine heads.Perform equipment adjustments such as sweeping tables, indicating vises, and changing chucks.Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards.Apply strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve machining challenges.Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.2-5 years of experience in manual machining.Solid mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment.Preferred QualificationsStrong precision and attention to detail.Demonstrated problem-solving ability.Experience working effectively as part of a team.Journeyman training, certifications, or equivalent technical training.Crane operation and rigging experience.If you meet these requirements, apply or call 317-887-0747 today!
