The ideal candidate must have prior experience within the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) or closely aligned state agenciesThis role provides executive oversight, strategic counsel, and institutional insight to ensure initiatives align with DPH priorities, operational realities, and community impact expectations.The Advisory Chair serves as a senior governance voice, strengthening program continuity, risk mitigation, stakeholder alignment, and performance accountability across high-visibility public health initiatives.About UsBlueprint Creative Group is a strategic communications agency supporting state, local, and federal government agencies with enterprise-wide communications, public affairs, and program management.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide executive advisory oversight for statewide public health initiatives, including prevention, behavioral health, chronic disease, and equity-centered programsCounsel program leadership on alignment with Massachusetts public health priorities, policies, and delivery frameworksGuide implementation strategy to ensure operational feasibility, adoption readiness, and stakeholder coordinationAdvise on risk identification, mitigation planning, and continuity safeguardsSupport development of performance metrics tied to participation, utilization, and behavioral outcomesProvide subject matter review of messaging, outreach strategies, and community engagement modelsParticipate in executive briefings, governance reviews, and quarterly performance assessmentsServe as a senior liaison voice when engaging public sector partners, coalitions, and advisory bodiesMinimum QualificationsFormer senior public health official, bureau deputy, or statewide program director within a state health department or large public health agencyDirect leadership experience overseeing statewide public health initiatives or prevention programsDemonstrated experience managing multi-stakeholder initiatives involving government, community organizations, and provider networksDeep familiarity with public health communications, outreach implementation, and program adoption challengesExperience advising on health equity, culturally competent delivery, and priority population engagementStrong executive presence and ability to guide cross-functional leadership teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience overseeing tobacco cessation, behavioral health, chronic disease prevention, or surveillance participation initiativesBackground supporting federally or state-funded public health programsExperience advising vendors, coalitions, or multi-agency implementation initiativesValue to Program DeliveryThe Advisory Chair strengthens program credibility, continuity, and risk mitigation by ensuring initiatives reflect public health system realities, stakeholder dynamics, and operational feasibility.
