Mechanical Inspector - Swing or Day Shift available

FM Industries has locations in Fremont and Livermore, CA with multiple shift opportunities!Days: Mon-Fri 6:00am to 2:30pm; Swing: Mon-Fri 2:00pm to 10:30pm; Weekends: Fri-Sun 8am to 8pmSUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible performing precision mechanical inspection of machined parts and incoming materials to verify compliance to specification.Basic blueprint reading & shop math (Trigonometry)Inspect first off parts from manufacturing work centersCollect measurement data for use in First Article Inspection (FAI) reportsCollect and provide data required for critical part Final Inspection Reports (FIRs)Qualifications:Minimum of 5years' experience performing in-process and final inspection preferably in a machining, automotive or aerospace businessThorough knowledge of GD&T CMM operation requiredAbility to correctly use and interpret basic measuring tools including weight gauge, micrometer, caliper scale (linear), gauge blocks, thread gauges, and comparative standardsCULTURE: At FM Industries our success is powered by people and technology.
