Position Type: Special EducationDate Posted: 3/10/2026Location: Special EducationClosing Date: until filledSUMMARY: The Special Education Compliance Facilitator is a state-certified educator who provides Local Education Agency (LEA) duties and responsibilities in IEP meetings, drafts and holds IEPs and amendments, and may provide daily instruction and support in the virtual academic environment, in both in interim and long-term settings. The Special Education Success Facilitator creates strategies to engage and facilitate student learning, serves as a case manager, and point of contact for students and parents, and monitors academic progress to help prioritize student learning objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. These functions encompass serving as an LEA and classroom duties. The facilitator may serve students through interim instruction for classes.Initiate, develop, and facilitate IEP and eligibility consideration meetingsFacilitate Academic Review Board (ARB) amendments for special education students, recommending, along with the committee, strategies to improve attendance and engagement.Collaborate with instructional teachers and coaches to review student academic dataTrack and communicate all IEP service changes (e.g. setting, accommodations, eligibility changes, related services, AT needs, etc.)Collaboratively serve as point of contact regarding academic needs, accommodations, and IEP services for families and teachersReceive progress reports and information from related services providersProvide special education documents to parent/guardian and required team members prior to and following meetingsAdminister assessments (e.g. performance, informal, or formal) to monitor student progressMonitor student engagement and attendance dataInput testing accommodations into school database after each IEP meeting; verify accommodations prior to state testingIn collaboration with school scheduling point of contact, verify student class schedules for alignment with IEP services and FTE reportingDocument communication with families via contact logs in Infinite CampusMaintains lesson plans, artifacts, and materials used to facilitate student instructionComply with all written policies and procedures in teacher, district, and school-based handbooksEstablish a virtual classroom environment conducive to learningImplement all IEP services and accommodations within classroom and testing environments with fidelityUtilize research-based strategies and differentiation to engage and nurture student learning and student relationships based on individual strengths and needsComplete all case management and instructional duties as assigned throughout the school yearMaintain special education records compliance, to include timelines, reporting, and open records requests; as outlined by IDEA and the GADOESupervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
