**Maintenance Mechanic** **Pay Rate: $30.29/Hour** **Location: Woodland, CA** **Shift: 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday** We're seeking a **Maintenance Mechanic** to support plant operations by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment in a safe, efficient, and proactive manner. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude and developing electrical skills who enjoys problem-solving in a fast‑paced industrial environment. **What Is the Job:** + Repair equipment and machinery as scheduled + Assist maintenance team members with electro‑mechanical troubleshooting + Perform routine and periodic preventive maintenance and lubrication on production equipment + Respond to urgent or emergency maintenance needs to minimize downtime + Complete work orders, PM documentation, and related paperwork + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment + Manage spare parts inventory in your assigned area + Install and maintain PLC units (training provided as needed) + Read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints + Use and calibrate electrical test equipment as required + Install and repair electrical/electronic equipment used throughout the plant + Provide your own basic tool set + Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to emergency call‑ins + Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Mechanic or Supervisor **What Is Needed:** **Required Skills & Abilities** + Strong commitment to safety and proper PPE use + Ability to identify and follow safe work practices at all times + Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the shift + Manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and machinery + Ability to read, write, and understand English for safety and operational instructions + Ability to work in various weather conditions and tolerate normal plant noise levels + Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders to access hoppers, silos, and blend towers **Education & Experience** + High School Diploma or GED required + Strong mechanical aptitude for diagnosing and repairing industrial equipment + Ability to learn and understand electrical schematics, tracing circuits, and using an OHM meter + Experience with troubleshooting electrical components is highly beneficial + Specialized technical training in electrical or industrial machine maintenance is preferred + Welding aptitude or experience is a plus + General contractor/building maintenance experience is a bonus + Forklift operator experience preferred **What's in it for You:** + Stable, hands‑on role in a production environment + Opportunity to grow electrical, mechanical, and PLC troubleshooting skills + Collaborative maintenance team with strong leadership support + Fast-paced work where problem-solving is valued and rewarded *A complete job description will be provided.
