Job DescriptionSelectek has an immediate need for a PLC Training Instructor in the Lake Orion, MI area.Qualified Candidates do not need previous training or teaching experience. A background in automation, floor line building, system integration and experience working in manufacturing facility is required.Job description: Working as a Training Instructor at an Automotive Manufacturing Plant Facility. Applying your own work & field experience in Automation, Floor Line Building, Controls, Robotics and other related skills to train apprentices on how these processes and equipment work in a manufacturing facility. Teach how to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, program automated floor lines involving robotics and related floor line equipment. Up to 80% Travel (mainly local) to automotive manufacturing facilities to run the training classes. Work on curriculum for training classes.Required: Rockwell PLC experience Proven field experience as a Controls Engineer, Systems Integrator and/or Electrician working on Automation Equipment in a manufacturing facility. Experience with Controls systems (I.E.-Fanuc iR Vision, Kuka) Interest in "coming off the floor" and ready to teach others. Ability to travel to non-local plant sites when needed. (You will be paid per-diem and put up in hotel) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Able to travel to Canada and Mexico if needed.
