You will work with equipment such as cranes, mixers, conveyors, and air systems while gaining exposure to mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and contributing to a team that keeps production running smoothly and safely.SummaryThe Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing skilled maintenance and repair work on a variety of plant equipment and systems. This includes diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all machinery operates safely and efficiently. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair operating systems for overhead cranes, mixers, conveyors, stressing machines, boilers, HVAC units, air compressors, and other plant-related equipmentMaintain a solid understanding of hydraulic systems, various voltages of alternating current (up to and including 480V 3-phase), PLCs, and electric motorsRead and interpret parts manuals, electrical schematics, and hydraulic diagramsPerform preventive maintenance on equipment to reduce downtime and extend service lifeComplete assigned work orders and tasks efficiently and accuratelyAssist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systemsPerform basic welding and fabrication work as neededEnsure compliance with all plant safety procedures and OSHA standardsMaintain accurate records of work performed and materials usedSupport installation or modification of new and existing equipmentWork independently with minimal supervision while maintaining communication with supervisors and other team membersBe available for on-call support as neededPerform other duties as assignedRequirements Strong mechanical and electrical aptitudeAbility to diagnose and repair complex equipment issuesKnowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systemsProficient in Microsoft Office applications and basic computer literacyAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manualsEffective communication and time management skillsMust have personal tool setEducation and ExperienceHigh school or trade school diploma requiredMinimum of 2 years of experience in industrial or plant maintenanceMust be able to read, write, and speak English (Spanish proficiency highly desirable)Ability to complete third-party overhead crane training within the required timeframeEnvironment and Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs regularlyFrequently required to stand, climb, bend, and work at various heightsRegularly works in outdoor and plant conditions including exposure to heat, humidity, dust, and inclement weatherMust follow all required PPE and safety protocols
