With a growing portfolio of private clubs, daily-fee courses, and resort properties across the United States, Bobby Jones Links partners with owners, municipalities, and developers to maximize the long-term success of their assets.We are seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven business development professional to join our team and play a key role in driving our continued growth. This individual will lead efforts to identify and secure new management opportunities, build strategic partnerships across the golf and hospitality industry, and provide valuable market intelligence to support our expansion. This role is ideally suited for a candidate based in the Eastern Time Zone to best align with our operations and target markets.This is a highly visible role that offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, influence company strategy, and make a meaningful impact on the future growth of Bobby Jones Links.Role & Job Responsibilities:Lead Generation and Market Intelligence Identify, pursue, and secure new leads for management and contracts for golf and country club properties across the United States, leveraging extensive industry relationships Lead generation through various proactive tactics, including cold calling, LinkedIn communication, direct mail, social media, email, internet research, digital marketing, trade shows, vendor relationships, BJL associates, etc. Build relationships with club owners and boards, municipal and county governments, real estate developers, investment groups, lenders, and industry professionals, including golf course architects, vendors, brokers, and consultants, with a specific focus on the East Coast Work with current BJL's existing club management teams to qualify potential prospects Monitor the golf industry and search for clubs seeking new management, distressed clubs, clubs undergoing ownership or key leadership changes, and new developments or renovations Summarize relevant information from RFPs, RFQs, ITNs, and similar solicitations for management and advisory services. Post summary and coordinate RFP, RFQ, or ITN processes to ensure timely delivery of required submittals Become proficient in restating a prospective client's financials, benchmarking, and pro forma development Assist in the development and execution of the annual NBD business plan, strategy, budget, and goals for BJL's business development team Enhance the processes, functions, and strategy on the business development team by working with current team members Continuously seek to improve BJL's Business Development process, better target potential customer segments, and better market the company/brand to BJL's ideal audience by identifying information about competitors, industry trends, and other potential opportunities Manage BJL's cloud-based records and files for new business development, including leads, RFPs, RFQs, and similar solicitations for management and advisory services Lead prospecting callsCRM Lead the management and development of BJL's current database of potential opportunitiesTransaction and Contract Negotiation Assist with negotiations of management agreements Work closely with the internal team and executive leadershipBenefits: 20 paid personal days, floating personal holiday, and one community service day, accrued according to company policy Paid company holidays: New Year's Day, Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day Health, dental, vision, life, and LTD insurance, effective the first of the month following your start date 401(K) plan following 12 months of service $75 monthly cell phone allowance and $75 monthly home internet expense allowance New laptop, docking station, monitors, and annual software subscriptions, such as Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat, Smartsheet, Dropbox, etc All business-related travel, office supplies, and other out-of-pocket expenses incurred for or on behalf of Bobby Jones Links will be reimbursed at costQualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred) 3-7+ years of experience in business development, sales, real estate, hospitality, golf/course management, or a related industry Proven track record of generating leads, building pipelines, and closing or supporting complex deals Experience working with municipalities, private clubs, developers, or investment groups is highly preferred Familiarity with RFP, RFQ, and similar solicitation processes is a plus Financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, or pro forma development, is strongly preferredSkills & Competencies Strong relationship-building and networking skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and decision-makers Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including presentation and proposal development Highly proactive and self-motivated with a hunter mentality and strong follow-through Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and translate insights into action Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail and deadlines Ability to analyze financial and operational data to support business development efforts Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with cloud-based platforms preferred Comfortable with cold outreach, prospecting calls, and multi-channel lead generation strategies Ability to work collaboratively across teams while also operating independentlyPhysical Requirements & Work Environment Ability to travel frequently Ability to sit, stand, and work on a computer for extended periods of time Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and through virtual platforms Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds (e.g., marketing materials, trade show equipment) Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
