Position Summary The Vice President of Human Resources serves as a key strategic leader responsible for shaping the company's culture, strengthening organizational effectiveness, and ensuring that people strategies enable long-term business success. This role oversees all facets of the Human Resources function and plays a vital role in fostering a high-performance work environment through strong talent practices, workforce development, and team member engagement. By aligning HR initiatives with the organization's broader goals, the VP of Human Resources drives programs and solutions that support operational excellence, enhance productivity, and elevate the overall team member experience across the company.Position DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide executive oversight and guidance to the Human Resources/Learning & Development (HR/LD) Team, ensuring the department maintains effective policies, procedures, and practices that support team member wellbeing and organizational goals.Partner strategically with senior leaders, Talent Acquisition, L&D, and HR leaders to execute recruitment strategies, performance management processes, leadership development initiatives, corporate communications, and HR programs across the team member lifecycle.Design and lead the organization's comprehensive compensation strategy to attract, retain, and motivate top talent while ensuring internal equity, external competitiveness, and compliance with all applicable laws.Develops, implements, and oversees comprehensive HR compliance and risk management strategies to ensure adherence to all applicable labor laws, regulations, and internal policies.Proactively identifies potential workforce-related risks, establishes preventive controls, and partners with executive leadership to safeguard the organization's legal, ethical, and reputational standing while fostering a culture of accountability and integrity.Strategically spearhead the design, planning, and execution of HR/LD programs that proactively address evolving business priorities and elevate the team member experience across all departments, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and long-term growth.Develops and leads a comprehensive corporate communication strategy that aligns with the organization's vision, values, and HR objectives, ensuring consistent, transparent, and engaging messaging across all internal and external channels.Collaborates with executive leadership to shape narratives that strengthen employer branding, foster team member engagement, and support change management initiatives, while safeguarding the organization's reputation and promoting a positive workplace culture.Identify and implement HR technologies and tools that improve employee experience, streamline HR operations, and enable scalable growth.Spearhead the strategic planning, development, coordination, and execution of policies, processes, training programs, initiatives, and workforce surveys designed to enhance HR compliance, drive organizational effectiveness, and elevate overall employee engagement.Serve as an executive sponsor and leader for major HR/LD projects and initiatives, ensuring successful execution and cross-functional alignment.Track HR key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze trends, and develop recommendations to improve operational efficiency and workforce outcomes.Owns the strategy and execution of leadership learning and development, ensuring programs build leadership capability, drive performance, and strengthen learning & development across the organization.Manage HR/LD budgets, control expenses, and align to company priorities. Partner with Finance to understand P&L drivers, optimize costs, and support EBITDA and overall profitability.Provide executive support, guidance, across all locations, ensuring consistency, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals.Serve as the steward of the company's culture, ensuring that enterprise-wide human capital strategies are aligned with and drive the organization's long-term success.QualificationsEducation/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred. Requires 12-15+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including 7-10+ years in senior HR leadership roles with oversight of multiple HR functions such as HR Business Partnership, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations/HRIS, Learning & Development, and Employee Relations & Compliance. Demonstrated expertise in federal, state, and local labor laws, with experience leveraging HR metrics and workforce analytics to inform people and business decisions. Proven ability to lead HR teams, partner effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, support multi-state or multi-market workforces, and drive organizational change, workforce planning, compliance, and risk management initiatives. Strong strategic, analytical, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex HR operations in fast-paced environments. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have proficient knowledge of with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Certificates and Licenses: SPHR or SPHR-CA Certification a plus. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will manage the HR/LD team. Develop and execute the company's business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders. Provide strategic advice so direct reports will have accurate view of the market and the company's future. Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate. Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times. Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners, and authorities. Able to delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of direct reports providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance. Position Hiring RangeThe hiring pay range provides a good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage that Living Spaces expects to pay for the position upon hire. Pay will be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to: applicant's education, relevant work experience, knowledge, applicable and relevant skills and abilities, market demand, Company budget, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Living Spaces reserves the right to modify this page at any time. Compensation: $240,000.00 - $320,000.00Overtime pay is available for eligible, non-exempt Team Members. Reimbursement for expenses as required by applicable law and Company policy.
