This is a key role within a lean, collaborative group where this individual will take ownership of day-to-day purchasing, supplier relationships, and material flow to support continued company growth.This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on in procurement, building strong vendor relationships, and making a direct impact on operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Buyer II ResponsibilitiesSource, evaluate, and onboard suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performanceNegotiate pricing, lead times, and supply agreements to support operational and financial goalsExecute MRP-driven purchase orders and manage inventory levels for raw materials and componentsBuild and maintain strong relationships with vendors through regular communication and collaborationPartner cross-functionally with engineering, project management, and operations teams on new and existing programsMaintain ERP data including part numbers, supplier records, and approved vendor listsMonitor supplier performance and market conditions to proactively address risk and availability challengesSupport continuous improvement efforts across purchasing processes and supplier strategyBuyer II Qualifications3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience purchasing raw materials or production componentsStrong vendor relationship management and negotiation skillsExperience with ERP systems such as Epicor (preferred), SAP, or OracleProficiency with Microsoft Office, especially ExcelStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience in plastics, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environments is a plusAdditional Role DetailsFully on-site role located in the Vadnais Heights areaStandard schedule: approximately 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-FridaySmall, highly collaborative purchasing team with strong visibilityOpportunity to take ownership of supplier relationships and purchasing processesMinimal to no travel requiredCompensation & BenefitsHourly pay range: $30-$35/hr depending on experiencePerformance-based bonus potentialStrong benefits package including low-cost healthcare optionsOpportunity for growth within a rapidly expanding organization
