Job Type Part-timeDescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: It is the primary responsibility of the Guest Room Attendant to clean and service the guest rooms and bathrooms. All duties are to be performed in accordance with Departmental and Property Policies, Practices, and Procedures.Top 5 Specific Job Functions: Clean all guest rooms to hotel standards, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, wiping down or dusting all surfaces using the proper chemicals, cleaning Air Conditioning filters, and vacuumingReports unusual room conditions or rooms in need of repairReports the correct status of rooms clean/unclean, vacant/occupied via the in-room phone systemReports all Do Not Disturb/Refuse Service rooms to the Floor Manager on timeReplenish all guest amenities, such as soaps, lotions, shampoos, tissues, coffee, coffee amenities, and information folders as neededOther Specific Job Functions: Replenish all guest amenities, such as soaps, lotions, shampoos, tissues, coffee, coffee amenities, and information folders as neededPlace clean bath mats on tubs and/or shower doors, and clean towels on shelvesFollows all safety policies and guidelines of the Department, Company, State, and Federal authoritiesUtilizes safety equipment as requiredMust follow all SDS chemical requirementsCompletes all duties in accordance with the room classification checklistLoad the Guest Room Attendant (GRA) cart with cleaning supplies and linenFold linen for the GRA cartPush a fully loaded GRA cart to transport supplies between guest roomsThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee in this position. RequirementsRequired: Ability to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, noise, dust, and cigarette smokeAbility to maneuver and maintain control of the housekeeping cartExcellent customer service skillsHave interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contactsProfessional appearance and demeanorWork varied shifts, including weekends and holidaysAble to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral formsPreferred: 6 months or more of customer service experience1 year or more of Guest Room Attendant experienceBilingual, English as the primary or secondary languageWORK SCHEDULE/HOURS: VariesCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Union ReferralPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have the physical ability to access all areas of the facility; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects; withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing at least 50 lbs. without restriction.Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure; work indoors and outdoors, as well as being exposed to hot/cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors.Most work tasks are performed indoors; however, there are events where outdoor activities are required.
