Finance Intern

Job Description: We are seeking a financial analyst intern with a focus on accounts payable and supporting other responsibilities relating to accounting and treasury. Candidate will be working with the accounting team with multiple emphasis reporting the regional accounting manager. Responsibilities include: * Review, assemble, input, employee expenditure records and incoming bills for the required documentation before payment is made * Ensure coding for the befitting expense accounts * Obtain and validate invoices for suitable authorization and documentation approval * Ensure good working relationship with vendors and acknowledge queries * Assist in handling and processing of emails for the accounts payable unit * Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data * Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data * Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses * Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential * Monitor cash balance and recommend for necessary cash funding * Support adhoc requests as needed generating reports and/or analysis * Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Requirements: * Proficient in utilizing Oracle, MS Office (especially Excel) * Able to accomplish diverse assignments, exhibit competency in time management and organization, with strong interpersonal dexterity * Detailed oriented, with the ability to follow tasks objectives through * Ability to function effectively in a multi-tasking environment Additional Skills Preferred (but not required): * Problem Solving * Process Improvement * Statistical Analysis * Financial Planning and Strategy * Reporting Research Results
