The organization is growing through both organic expansion and acquisitions and is seeking a General Manager to help take the business to its next phase.What You'll DoAs General Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations while executing the firm's strategic plan and scaling the organization.Key responsibilities include:Full P&L ownership across consulting and contracting business linesOverseeing operations, project delivery, and post-acquisition integrationDriving growth through collaboration with Seller-Doers and regional leadersLeading and tracking KPIs for revenue, margin, utilization, client retention, and safetyImplementing standardized SOPs, systems, technology platforms, and shared servicesOverseeing HR, recruitment, performance management, and leadership developmentServing as a cultural integrator, reinforcing communication, accountability, and valuesActing as a strategic operator with a hands-on, people-first leadership styleRegional travel up to 25%What Success Looks LikeA well-run, scalable operation with strong margins and consistent executionEngaged teams who feel supported, challenged, and developedSmooth integration of acquired firms into a cohesive platformClear visibility into performance metrics and financial outcomesA culture rooted in service, commitment, teamwork, and safetyCore Values You'll ChampionService: A client-first mindset, acting as a trusted advocate and guideCommitment: A "can-do" approach-responsive, agile, and tenaciousTeamwork: Collaborative leadership where shared wins matterSafety: A deep commitment to employee well-being, respect, and responsibilityWhat You BringBS/MS in Engineering (PE required)MBA preferred10+ years of experience in professional services, ideally environmental or engineering consulting/contractingProven success scaling multi-office or multi-service organizationsExperience with acquisitions and post-merger integrationStrong financial acumen and a track record of profitable growthDemonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop both technical and administrative teamsFamiliarity with environmental consulting, remediation, or related servicesEstablished network in the Midwest market preferredCompensation & Growth OpportunityTotal compensation: $150,000-$175,000 (base salary + performance incentives)This role is designed for growth. As the firm's value, profitability, and scale increase, the successful candidate will be eligible for future equity participation.
