INTERN, COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC RELATIONSWhat you'll do.As a Communications and Public Relations Intern, you'll dive into the exciting world of communications and PR, gaining hands-on experience while supporting the organization's efforts to engage with the media and collaborate with outside vendors. This experience provides opportunities to build confidence in and strengthen professional communication skills. Both locations offer easy access to light rail, major bus lines, parking options, walking/biking paths, and a myriad of dining and entertainment choices, making it a vibrant hub for everyone.What we look for.Education: High School diploma or GED is requiredMust be enrolled as a student working towards a degree in communications, public relations, or other related field is requiredAdditional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point is requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills are requiredAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneously is requiredStrong attention to detail is requiredAbility to handle confidential information is requiredStrong customer service skills are requiredAbility to excel and stay organized in a fast-paced environment with daily deadlines is requiredUnderstanding of media monitoring services is preferredUnderstanding of Associated Press (AP) style is preferred*Equivalent combination of education and experience beyond the minimum requirement may be substituted for qualification requirements.Travel Requirements: No travel required.
