This role ensures timely order completion and delivery by following production priorities and maintaining standard work procedures for the shipping area. This position can be very physically demanding.Essential Duties:Load shipments onto trucks using a pallet jack or hand dollyWork within UPS World Ship, FedEx Ship Manager and other Automated Warehouse SystemsFollow production priorities to ensure timely order completion and deliveryLearn and maintain standard work procedures for the shipping areaCommunicate with the Zone Leader to ensure proper and timely shipment of ordersVerify outgoing orders for completeness, accuracy, and qualitySafely operate wrapper machines and material handling equipment (dollies and hand jacks)Perform miscellaneous dock duties such as boxing, catching, folding, and dock setup as neededContinuously seek ways to improve safety, quality, and efficiencyCollaborate with area staff to maintain a 5S clean and organized departmentMaintain a clean and orderly workspaceEnsure safety devices are maintained on all equipment and communicate with appropriate personnelFollow established guidelines for safety, including wearing proper PPE and checking for safety hazardsRequirementsQualifications:Minimum of 1 year of in-bound Shipping Dock experience requiredMinimum of 1 year of UPS World Ship or FedEx Ship Manager experience requiredExcellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills with employees and all levels of manufacturingStrong attention to detailBasic computer skills - Adobe, Microsoft, OutlookMust be 18 years of age or olderProven steady work historyMust pass a 4-panel drug screen and a 7-year background checkProficient in reading and writing in EnglishGED or High School Diploma requiredAbility to work overtime when neededPhysical Requirements & Conditions:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis for 8+ hours.Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours per dayExperience using a pallet jack and hand dolly to load shipmentsComfortable working in moderate to hot temperatures in an unairconditioned environmentAbility to stand and walk for 8+ hours per dayHours:Full-time position with occasional, voluntary overtimeMonday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pmPay:Starting at $17.00 per hour, with an additional $0.50 per hour perfect attendance bonusPay rate may be higher based on relevant experienceOpportunities for merit increases after 60 days, 6 months, and annually thereafter based on performanceHow to Join Our Team:Ready to be part of our dynamic team at Perrin Sportswear?
