The Action Chef is responsible for preparing and cooking food live in front of guests during a golf tournament event. This role requires strong culinary skills, professionalism, speed, and the ability to engage with guests while maintaining high food quality and safety standards. The Action Chef ensures food is prepared according to event standards while delivering an excellent guest experience. This is a seasonal role from February 10, 2026 and will end on June 10, 2026. This role pays an hourly rate of $19.50 This position will remain open until June 10, 2026.Prepare and cook food live at action stations (ex: omelet station, carving station, pasta station, grill station, etc.)Maintain high-quality food presentation and portion controlFollow all recipes, event menus, and production guidelinesEnsure food is cooked safely and served at proper temperaturesMaintain a clean, organized, and professional cooking station at all timesInteract with guests in a friendly and professional manner while cookingRestock station supplies as needed throughout the shiftAssist with food prep before service and breakdown/clean-up after serviceFollow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (including proper glove use and handwashing)Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth serviceSupport kitchen team with additional tasks as neededPrevious experience as a cook, chef, or station chef required (action station experience preferred)Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standardsAbility to cook quickly and efficiently in a high-volume environmentComfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditionsAbility to stand for long periods and lift up to 40–50 lbsStrong time management and attention to detailExcellent customer service and communication skillsMust be reliable, punctual, and able to work long event shiftsMust be able to work weekends and early mornings depending on tournament scheduleFood Handler Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)At OVG, we understand that to continue positively disrupting the sports and live entertainment industry, we need a diverse team to help us do it.
