Job Description2026 ESY SPSA Instructional Assistant HIGH SCHOOLLocation: Wakefield HS July 6, 2026 through July 31, 2026Professional Days and Orientation: July 1, 2 SPSA Secondary Program for Students with AutismQualifications:Graduation from high school or equivalent education; and 60 college credits from a regionally accredited college/university; or A qualifying score on the ParaPro (455 or better).Preferred:Reliable, dependable, flexible, and punctual. Flexible and willing to work as a team.Knowledge of the needs of students with disabilities.Ability to take initiative appropriately.Experience: Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds.One year working with students who have disabilities Responsibilities Include:Assist individuals or groups of students with classroom activities under the guidance and direction of a teacher.Assist with classroom and behavior management plans under teacher guidance and direction.Collaborate with school staff, related service providers, student services staff, and families.Perform other tasks as assigned by teacher, site-administrator, or coordinatorConsiderations for hire:All applicants must complete a pre-interview questionnaire linked hereConditions for hire: Once you have been hired, then you will need to sign your contract and return it to HR through the link they send you.
